Keeping Warm digi image- now available

This little download is now available on line here.
My previous idea with regards eyes (see post below), I found a solution. I have a stash of wobbly eyes hidden at the back of my drawer, perfect!

I love these simple cards at the moment!

Take a look........

........another card making day for me I think. Today..so far...this little fella. I have run out of white card, can you believe it!. I will of course have to get some and managed to find an off cut to print this digi image...phew.

My idea with this image was to 3d the eyes, seeing as I don't have any card left..if anyone does this before I get a chance...please point me in the direction of your card, I would be very interested to see how it works...until then...........indulge in ProMarkers.

Poppy, Maroon, Mustard, Cool Aqua, Pumpkin, Vanilla, Pastel Blue, Rose Pink, Cinnamon, Burnt Umber, Berry Red, Moss.

Be back later with a card.xxxxxxxxxxx

All I want for Christmas is.....................

..................a card like this. I love being sent hand made cards (not that I get many) but the ones I get sent at Christmas take pride of place on the fireplace.

I've kept the card very plain which is very unlike me but I'm just lovin it. The download will have 2 images in it, 1 coloured and 1 black and white image..(available tomorrow)..until then, open up your arms and welcome him into your homes :)

ProMarkers used:

Pastel Blue, Ice Grey 1, War Grey 3, Ruby, Cool Aqua (where would I be without it?), Raw Sienna, Rose Pink, Cocoa, Shale, Vanilla, Poppy, Gold.

I'm putting finishing touches to this little fella.

...I just couldn't wait to show you it in card form so here it is, barely out of the computer, ProMarkers still wet.
I just can't stop drawing owls!...I will be back to show you the card..once it's made!

I ♥ ProMarkers Challenge Card.

Yesterday was spent knee deep in paper, tape, ribbon, brads, stamps, ink pads, glitter...you name it-it would have been sprawled lavishly across my office floor.

You see, it's not a big room but I have to be thankful I have somewhere I can shut the door and forget about work now and again. It consumes me, it's what I've always loved to do and will NEVER tire of it...it's not just a hobby, it's a job.

If I told you how many hours a week I worked you would probably say I'm crazy- a nice workspace is essential right?

I have taken down one of my desks, I never worked on it and to be honest don't really know why it was there...it was a dumping ground for things I didn't want to clutter my computer desk with.

Down it came yesterday, moved my set of drawers over and I have room to swing my chair back and forth like a mad woman...yyiiippppppppppppeeeeeeee.

I plan on getting a nice swish drawing board and shiny stool to admire.
I do realise that I am a hoarder and espesh of magazines, some which have interesting articles in -most which I've been published in. I keep them as memorabilia...crafty times gone by, when I'm 80yrs old, I can flick through and look at pictures and recall happy times.

Today-I deserve a craft day for me.
I've been thinking of doing another card for the I ♥ ProMarkers Challenge Blog/Facebook, picked up my stamp, card, ribbon and ProMarkers and this is what I made.

Another Xmas card..(I'm so going to be organised this year-prob the only two I make..lol..lol..)

I stamped onto textured card (I love the rough little outline you get with this-the way the ink clings to little raised areas and misses others)- a real canvas feel.

I love his little rotund red belly and his little booties *please note the highlights on the boots-if you are colouring onto white card simply leave some white card showing through for instant highlights*

Stamp used- Robyn by Willow Designs

ProMarkers used- Cocoa, Rose Pink, Cool Aqua, Blush, Lime Green, Berry Red, Spice, Saffron (becoming a favourite), Ruby and Pastel Pink.

Craftbubble Challenge Card

Morning everyone, today sky is blue and with any luck it shall stay that way. What does this weekend bring?, a trip out to Barnard Castle (we were going to go out walking but thought better of it..;0), maybe lunch out, a look round nice kitchen type shop-I love nice t-towels, cups, pretty coloured things with pretty floral patterns on. The artist in me would like to paint my own tea set, there would be plenty of delicate little roses and daisies and maybe a few polka dots here and there in a nice shade of duck egg blue.

Today is Willow Sketchie Challenge on Craftbubble, I love this challenge as everyone is soooo enthusiastic and have some great ideas, why not come along-it's free to register. You'll find us in the Let's Get Stamping Group (link in side bar).

I set the sketch this week-haven't been able to do one for a while due to work commitments so was looking forward to this one!

As mentioned yesterday in my sneaky peek, coloured in ProMarkers....it will of course go in the bottom drawer -I do tend to forget about my bottom drawer but..somehow I think I may remember this little card as I love it so much.x

ps....I did miss a few elements off the sketchie by mistake....ssshhhh...I kinda like it plain :)

I've been stamping!

I know..I can hardly believe it myself!..I've been so caught up in downloads of late, I decided..today was the day, to say hello again to my acrylic block and this little cutie pie...Picking Flowers stamp.

Being the thrifty crafter I am ;), I decided to use the same list of ProMarkers to colour this little image and yes...I decided to show you just how easy it is!..

Remember my list from yesterday....
Satin, Saffron, Pastel Pink, Rose Pink, Blush, Cool Aqua..(LOVIN IT!), Cinammon and Henna

I stamped the image onto Papermania white textured card to create a canvas feel to the image. The ProMarkers don't seem to bleed that much on the textured card.

Here goes:
1. Start by colouring the bear with a layer of Saffron

2. Next add some Cinnamon to create dimension.

3. To create more depth, colour around the edges using Henna...see how she looks more three dimensional.

4. Add some nice rosie cheeks by applying Pastel Pink and Rose Pink. Apply a layer of Blush to her dress.

5. Add depth using Cool Aqua.

6. "Ground" image by giving her a little path to walk on by using Cinnamon and Henna and outline image using Cool Aqua to make it "pop".

There you have it, let me see what you create. This little lady was lovingly made into a little card for tomorrows Craftbubble challenge..here's a sneaky peek.

Willow Sketchie Challenge Card

Another great excuse to get my ProMarkers out....this new little Xmas owl from Willow Designs launches today...Dear Santa...

I wanted to create a fair amount of depth to this image and make it look as three dimensional as possible. This comes with a fair amount of practise but please don't be putt off by that, the only way to succeed is to practise, practise, practise. The key is to layer your colours..starting with the lightest first. I will try and get a tutorial on this as I know some people struggle with it and believe me...it's easier than what you think.

ProMarkers used:
Satin, Saffron, Pastel Pink, Rose Pink, Blush, Cool Aqua..(LOVIN IT!), Cinammon and Henna...also, try layering colours on top of each other to create different tones, as I did with the "lilac" snow which is actually a layer of cool aqua with a layer of rose pink over the top.

Willow Sketchie Challenge Sneaky Peek

I have swooned over the my Cool Aqua ProMarker today, is it actually possible to have a favourite colour out of all of them?..for today I choose that one as it makes my image POP out of the page..love it!

Making my first Christmas card for tomorrows challenge..(well not really my first Xmas card as I've done a fair few already for the magazine)..so this is a one for me..to store..put into my bottom drawer, to feel smug when I need a Xmas card for someone :)...only a zillion more to go.

For those wanting to join in the challenge tmrw..link in side bar, come along..all welcome and the design team have some goodies to feast your eyes...for now...a sneaky peek of my challenge card.

Indulging in colour

Not really anything to say other than..indulge...colour...love.

A strange weekend.

Sorry, I never got chance to pop back yesterday to show you my challenge card. Better late than never as they say.

Showing that there is very little need to use no more than two ProMarkers when colouring to achieve beautiful effects. The whole card revolved around this teeny weeny t-bag I made from a scrap of 12x12 paper that I had left over from a pack of paper I bought to design some magazine stuff with..(Deck the Halls - Papermania..real good bargain).

The little image I used was from Willow Designs- A walk in the park download.

For all of you who are following my other new challenge blog I ♥ ProMarkers, please feel free to copy the banner onto your blogs and link back. As I have mentioned before, any entries done by any bloggers will be linked up by myself into the Facebook group so we all can come and visit you :)

I had some really sad sad news yesterday, my parents had to have their 12yr old dog put to sleep, she had very rapidly took ill with an infection in her womb..so sad, they are a part of the family, they can't tell you when they're ill..(always seem to manage to tell you when they're hungry!)..sometimes ther'es just nothing left you can do for them....make speedy haste to Rainbow Bridge Hannah to meet Rea and Flynn.xx

Craftbubble sneaky peek.

I haven't been able to join in on the challenges for the past few weeks and have to thank the dt for keeping it going...(just stopping typing briefly to look at the SHEETS of rain coming down..OMG...when will it stop).

Anyway..I thought it might be fun to show you that you can still get stunning results from a couple of ProMarkers, I was going for the sepia look with this one and used Blush and Rose Pink, a little bit of blending here and there and I'm quite pleased with the results.

For those of you who use ProMarkers..I'm putting together a collection of colouring videos to help those people who look for help when shading.

So...here it is..my little sneaky peek of tomorrows card..come back tmrw to see it in full :)

I ♥ ProMarkers challenges........starting TODAY!!

Phew......it's been a busy BUSY week, last THURSDAY since I last blogged...I know..just not like me at all!
My time has been consumed in magazine work which takes me off into another dimension for a while. For a slight moment..I can breathe again, the reason for a few days off.
Yesterday was spent trekking (crawling) up Helvellyan...I was seriously trying to compose myself with people's smugness as they were coming down the mountain and I was still struggling to get up.."you're up the steep bit..only the steepest bit to go now" one guy took great delight in pointing out. Probably just having a bit of friendly banter but let me tell ya....I was in no mood for it. I did day dream about getting air lifted off the top and on the way down..I would have gladly spent the four hours it would have taken for a stair lift to get to the bottom.

I have got loads of pics to remind me of the journey that I won't be doing again in a hurry....later.
But first..for anyone reading this............... This is your personal invitation to come and indulge in colour by joining our brand new I ♥ ProMarkers challenges........starting TODAY!!
Sketches to follow....limited edition prizes to be won, all we need is a burst of your creativity.
Our design team have been working hard to produce some stunning cards for any inspiration needed........Come join us in our Facebook group.

Here's my challenge card

Tip
For all of you who wonder what to do with the chisel end of a ProMarker....look closely...gives a brilliant illusion of matting and layering.

Happy Birthday to me..Happy Birthday to me

Do I feel any older?..of course I don't..I still feel the same as I did when I was sixteen!..minus a few little ailments I've picked up along the years.

I have money to indulge next week, music to listen to today while I work..(didn't plan that very well did I )..and perfume to spray on at intervals through the day to make me feel pretty.

Willow Sketchie Challenge today, I showed you the peek yesterday...here's the full card.

I did experiment with this card, I've never used ProMarkers to colour in a solid "sketchy" background but, I think it works and always love to see grey and pink together.

Here's what I did:

1. Print off Fairy Bella download onto a A4 piece of white card, trim to size and colour background using the chisel end of Warm Grey 1 ProMarker, mount onto white card and trim leaving a small border.

2. Colour image using ProMarkers: Carmine, Amethyst, Spice, Rose Pink, Ice Grey 2, Blush, Satin, Dusky Pink, Pastel Pink.

3. Using a glue pen, add glitter flocking powder to wings.

4. Add ribbon around a length of white card and fix onto the front of a pink base card.

5. Add a punched border to a strip of spotty card and fix across .

6. Mount image onto card front, add a ribbon and chipboard embellishments to finish.

Sneaky Peek

It's been almost a whole week since I last blogged, where did that go to? It's quite funny cause I do miss it, recording thoughts, ideas, memories. I miss looking back on the days and so much has happened this week...

The new Facebook Group I ♥ ProMarkers have got their fabby design team chosen, go check them out (click on the T-shirt in the side bar). We are lucky enough to have the challenges sponsored by Letraset and I feel very lucky to have been able to put together a selection of bespoke collections as prizes...(our first challenge kicks off Wed. 15th July)

The 9th of July is not only a brand new Willow Sketchie Challenge but....it's my birthday!!...nothing much planned but, I'm hopefully taking a few days of next week where I will travel, eat cake, spend money on pretty crafty items and hopefully sit in the sun and sip wine.

Before I depart to watch "we are coming..we are coming" Captain Jack..Torchwood, I leave you with a sneaky peek of tomorrows challenge card using Fairy Bella.

Using ProMarkers (which I will list tomorrow) and glitter flocking powder.

A little sunny walk.

Sorry I haven't been around much these past few days...I've been catching up on some commissions that needed doing.
So.........I haven't got no crafty makes to share but..I do have a few pics I managed to take today.

I always forget to take the camera out with me but..the sun reminded me today, a day not to be missed.

A bit too hot to walk today really but..we needed to fill our lungs with fresh air and to break free from this computer for half an hour.

Enjoy the sun.xxxxxxxxxxx
